A mason is a construction professional that is skilled in working with brick, stone, and/or concrete block. Masons are the “original builders” who created the Great Pyramids, the Coliseum in Rome, and some of the most stunning architecture in history.  Just walk through most college campuses and you’ll see spectacular brick buildings that were built by the skilled hands of masons.  From these massive projects to more functional projects like brick pathways, stone chimneys, and concrete block walls, masons must have a thorough understanding of various types of materials and stone and how the layout of pattern can affect structures, and the ability to handle the physical requirements for installation.
