Adults interested in learning more about Chattanooga’s new Construction Career Center, a vocational training school for the construction trades opening this fall, are invited to an Enrollment Day at All Good Coffee Shop on Tuesday, July 26 from 9:30 am – 4 pm. Faculty members will be on hand to answer questions about enrollment, curriculum, and careers in construction.
Instruction for the Construction Career Center will be led through the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Chattanooga and offers students 1,300 hours of accredited classroom and hands-on training, OSHA 10, work-based learning opportunities, and connectivity with regional construction employers through the Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee.
The curriculum, Building Construction Technology, will provide students with the fundamentals of carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, and block and brick laying. Instruction methods include classroom lecture, audio-visuals, training equipment labs, and extensive live projects on actual construction projects.
For more information about enrollment, contact the Construction Career Center’s Workforce Development Director, Susan Cowden, at (423) 265-1111 or email@example.com.
